On the 17th of December 2022, Exabytes was invited as one of the sponsors for DevFest George Town 2022 , organised by Google Developer Groups. The event took place at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT PG).
This one day conference covered two tracks with more than ten speeches and workshops given by both domestic and international speakers. The speakers included Vin Lim from Arteesan, Bok Thye Yeow from Google, Tamas Piros from Cloudinary, Shang Yi Lim from Hubble, Kamolphan Liwprasert from Agoda, Kuan Hoong from BAT, Lai Fong Leong from Cognixus, Julius Uy from ZiLearn, Warat Wongmaneekit from WISESIGHT, Toru Wonyoung Choi from OCBC Bank and Exabytes’ very own VP of Sales from Malaysia, Poh Yan Ooi.
Exabytes’ Business Development Executive, Ms Chu Ven Khong, explained the products and services Exabytes offers to a group that was enquiring on Exabytes at the booth set up.
Louis Yoong, the GDG George Town Organiser, got the event started with an opening speech.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Toh Guat Guan who is the Branch Head of TARUMT Penang, gave a welcoming speech to those who attended DevFest George Town 2022.
Students, as well as people in the industry were gathering at the booth to learn more on Exabytes and to collect stamps to be eligible for the lucky draw.
The VP of Sales from Exabytes Malaysia, Ms Poh Yan Ooi gave a very informative talk on Digital Marketing Sustainability for Businesses.
Women In Tech Panel Discussion by Julius, Kamolphan Liwprasert, Su Myat and Leong Lai Fong, where they discussed Leadership Styles & Building Space to Thrive.

Overall, it was a successful event as students, start-ups, entrepreneurs, business professionals, developers and students all gained knowledge and skills to help provide solutions for a successful business in navigating this dynamic marketplace.
