A dashboard page that tries to show everything at once usually ends up showing nothing clearly.
The Tab page block gives a Base app page somewhere to put content without it all competing for space: related information sits behind its own tab, and users click between tabs instead of scrolling past sections they don’t need right now.
Note: This covers the Tab page block used on Base app pages and dashboards. Customizing the tabs on a single record’s own details page is a related but separate feature.
Note: You need manage permission for the app to add or edit blocks. On the Lark mobile app, tab page blocks can be viewed but not configured.
Practical Use Cases for SMEs and Startups
- Customer profiles: Group a customer’s basic information, contacts, and contracts behind separate tabs on one page.
- Order status views: Show all orders, pending payment, and completed orders as separate tabs instead of one long filtered list.
- Departmental dashboards: Separate sales reports, customer analysis, and inventory reports into their own tabs on a single shared page.
Adding and Configuring a Tab Page
Open the Base app and click the Edit app icon next to the app name to enter edit mode. Select the page you want to add a tab page to from the navigation bar, then click Add Block in the lower-left corner and choose Tab page.
The block’s configuration panel opens on the right, with General and Custom tabs.
From the General tab, set the block’s title and whether to show it, then build the list of tabs:
- Add Tab: Adds a new tab. A single tab page block can hold up to 20 tabs.
- Tab title: Set individually for each tab.
- Adding content to a tab: Click the ··· icon on a tab and choose Move Block Here to bring an existing block in, or drag blocks into or out of the tab directly. Tab pages can’t be nested inside other tab pages.
- Tab style: Choose between Line, Card, or Box.
- Tab alignment: Align left, centre, or right.
Switch to the Custom tab to set the block’s background colour, along with separate colours for a tab’s selected and default states.
Managing a Tab Page Block
Click the ··· icon in the upper-right corner of the block to access its settings, duplicate it, copy it to another page, change its background or border, or delete it. Drag the dot in a corner to resize the block, or drag the :::: icon to move it.
Note: Deleting a tab page block does not delete the blocks that were inside its tabs. They remain on the app page.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Up to 20 tabs.
Can I put a tab page block inside another tab?
No. Nesting tab pages inside tab pages isn’t supported.

They aren’t deleted. They remain on the app page as independent blocks.
Can I use tab page blocks on mobile?
You can view them on the Lark mobile app, but configuring a tab page block requires desktop.
Who can add or edit tab page blocks in a Base app?
Anyone with manage permission for that app.
One Page, Organised on Its Own Terms
A tab page block turns a page that would otherwise be one long scroll into something a user can navigate on purpose, jumping straight to the section that matters to them right now.
