Leadership shapes what a business becomes. The leaders who make a real difference turn bold ideas into lasting results, adopt new technology with purpose and help the people and communities around them grow. Exabytes was proud to sponsor the Malaysia Role Model Recognition (MRMR) 2026, a ceremony that honours leaders who are shaping Malaysia’s business landscape.
MRMR: An Evening of Excellence and Inspiration
The 2026 ceremony brought together entrepreneurs, business owners, industry leaders and changemakers from across the country. The Exabytes team was glad to join the evening alongside Dato’ Jason Foo, Organising Chairman of MRMR 2026; Dato’ Dr Teh Tai Yong, President of the Malaysia Role Model Association; and Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, President of the Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (PUMM).
MRMR is organised with PUMM, and it gives Malaysia’s business community a valued place to celebrate excellence. Each year it highlights people whose vision, integrity and resilience set a standard for others. These leaders also mentor the next generation and help build a stronger, more competitive Malaysian economy.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all of this year’s winners. Your achievements show what Malaysian businesses are capable of, and your stories will inspire many others to start their own journeys.
Why Exabytes Supports Leadership Recognition
At Exabytes, we believe great leadership drives innovation, empowers businesses and creates lasting impact. That belief has guided us since we started in Penang in 2001 as a small web hosting company. Today, Exabytes is a regional digital, cloud and AI solutions provider serving businesses across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and beyond.
Our growth has always been tied to the growth of our customers. Many of them are small and medium-sized enterprises, startups and entrepreneurs, the same kind of people MRMR celebrates. When we support initiatives like MRMR, we are supporting the ecosystem that makes Malaysian businesses thrive. Recognising excellence encourages more business owners to pursue innovation, use digital tools and AI with confidence, and lead with purpose.
A Legacy of Recognition: Our Founder and CEO
MRMR has a special meaning for Exabytes. Our Founder and CEO, Mr Chan Kee Siak, received the Malaysia Role Model Recognition in 2025. The award honoured his long commitment to entrepreneurship, technology and empowering businesses through digital transformation.
Under his leadership, Exabytes grew from a local hosting start-up into a trusted name in cloud, digital and AI solutions. He has always believed that technology should be accessible to every business, whatever its size. That belief shapes our products, services and culture today. His recognition belongs to the whole Exabytes team, our partners and the customers who have grown with us.
Returning to MRMR in 2026 as a sponsor, just a year after our founder was honoured on the same stage, closes a meaningful circle. We have gone from being recognised to helping recognise others, and we hope to inspire the next generation of leaders as earlier role models inspired us.
Leading the Way in AI and Digital Solutions
Businesses today face a fast-changing landscape. Artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital platforms are changing how companies operate, compete and serve their customers. In this environment, businesses need more than technology. They need a trusted partner who understands their challenges and can guide them through every stage of digital transformation.
Exabytes aims to be that partner. Our offerings include:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure built for performance, security and scale
- Domains, websites and e-commerce solutions that help businesses build a strong online presence
- AI-powered tools and solutions that help businesses work smarter, automate processes and make better decisions
- Digital marketing and business productivity solutions that support sustainable growth
With more than two decades of experience, Exabytes is a go-to expert and role model for AI and digital solutions in the region. Our mission is to help businesses of every size use technology with confidence and turn digital opportunities into real results.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Business Leaders
The leaders honoured at MRMR 2026 remind us that success comes from vision, persistence and a willingness to embrace change. At Exabytes, we want to give the next generation of entrepreneurs the digital foundation and AI capabilities they need to turn their ambitions into reality.
We thank the Malaysia Role Model Association, PUMM and the MRMR 2026 Organising Committee for a memorable and inspiring evening. Congratulations again to every winner. We look forward to continuing our mission to empower businesses through digital innovation and AI, and to celebrating many more Malaysian role models in the years ahead.
