Intro
The progress chart can be added to Base dashboards to visualize project progress, goal completion, or progression toward a specified date. You can flexibly configure the target and current numbers of the chart either by using fields from a table or setting your own manually.
The style of the progress chart can be customized to your needs. You can choose from a variety of shapes and colors, and even set different colors for different intervals of the progress bar. You can also enable an animation that plays when the progress is completed, adding a visual highlight to the achievement.
Platform requirement: These steps can only be performed on the Lark desktop app.
Step
Add a Progress Chart
- Open the base and click Dashboard on the left navigation bar.
- Click Add Block in the upper-left corner of the dashboard.
- Select Progress Chart under the Other section.
Note: If the Progress Chart option is not available, you need to click Upgrade Now in the upper-right corner of the dashboard to upgrade the dashboard first.
Configure a Progress Chart
The configuration panel contains a preview, which updates automatically as you configure the chart settings.
- Double-click the chart title in the upper-left corner of the configuration panel to change the title.
- Click the Setup tab on the right side of the configuration panel and select a type: Number or Date.
- The number type shows the progress of the current number relative to the target number. Example: If the target number is 100 and the current number is 10, the progress is 10%. You can set the current number and the target number through the fields in the table.
- The date type shows the progress of the specified date relative to the selected date range. Example: If today is March 10, 2026, the date range is “This Month”, and the specified date is “Today”, then the graph will show the progress from the beginning of the month to March 10 relative to the total number of days in this month. The result is 32.26%, with the time unit being day.
- Select the shape of the progress bar: Bar, Semicircle, or Circle.
Configure Number Progress
- Set goal target and Set current number: Set the target number and current number by entering a number or specifying the data source and data range.
Notice: The data source and data range are set independently for the target number and current number.
-
- Select Custom to enter a value in the input box.
- To specify the data source and data range, choose Select field, and then select the data source, data range, and the calculation method.
- Data source: Select the table to be used as the data source.
- Data range: By default, all data is selected. Click Filter on the right to add filtering conditions. To use a different view, click All data and select a view from the pop-up list.
- Number: Select Number of records or Field summary. For field summaries, select the field to summarize and the summary method, such as sum, maximum, minimum, and average.
Note: Only values of numeric fields support summarization.
- Number format: Set the format for the progress percentage, target number, and current value.
- Percentage: Enter the number of decimal places to keep.
- Number: Set the format of the target number and current number. You can choose from Number (with thousands separator), Number, and Percentage. Enter the number of decimal places to keep.
- Unit: If you select Number (with thousands separator) or Number as the format, select whether to display the currency unit or other symbols. You can enter the symbol you need to display in the input field and select the position of the symbol.
Configure Date Progress
To configure the date progress chart, select the chart shape and specify the date range, current date, and date format:
- Shape: Select the shape of the progress bar: Bar, semi-circle, or circle.
- Date range: Defines the time period that represents the full progress of the chart. Available options include: This month, this quarter, this year, and custom range.
- Current date: Specifies the date to represent the current progress within the defined range. Available options include: Today, yesterday, and custom date.
- Date format: Select the display format of the date. The custom dates set in the date range and current date options will be displayed in this format.
Note: If the current date you set is outside the date range, the progress percentage ratio may be negative or exceed 100%.
After completing the settings, you can customize the chart style as needed.
Customise the Progress Chart
Click the Customize tab in the upper-right corner of the chart configuration panel to customize the chart.
- Background: Set the background color for the funnel chart. You can set the background color using the color palette, HEX, or RGB color codes. You can also adjust the opacity and blur level of the background as needed.
- Font colour: For the number type, select colors for percentages, current numbers, and target numbers. For the date type, select colours for percentages and date ranges.
- Progress bar colour: Set the colour of the progress bar. You can set only one color or multiple colours for different progress intervals.
- To set a single colour for the progress bar, select a color from the drop-down menu.
- To set color by interval, select Apply colour by interval to the right of Progress bar colour. The number type supports percentage or number intervals while the date type supports percentage intervals only.
-
-
- Click the ⊕ icon or Add Interval to add an interval in the corresponding position. Click the ✕ icon to delete an interval. After adding or deleting an interval, the ranges of adjacent intervals will be automatically adjusted.
- Click the color block on the left side of an interval to set its color.
- Enter the upper or lower limit of the interval for the range of the interval. The upper and lower limits can be set only for the first interval. Only the upper limit can be set for other intervals as the upper limit of the previous interval will become the lower limit of the next interval.
Note:- If the current number or date is less than the lower limit of the first range or greater than the upper limit of the last range, the progress bar will be displayed in the color of the range closest to that number or date.
- If the current number or date falls on the boundary of a range, the progress bar will be displayed in the color of the smaller range.
- The range can exceed the full progress range. That is, the upper and lower limits of the range can be set to negative numbers and numbers greater than the target number or 100%.
- Add animation for achieving goals: Select this option to add an animation when progress reaches completion.
-
After completing the settings, click Confirm in the lower-right corner to add the chart to your dashboard.

- View the record and use the search bar to search for records as needed.
- Hover over the right side of the record and click the Open in center peek icon to view the details of a record.
Note: If the target number and the current value come from different data sources, you can switch the data source in the upper-left corner.
