Technology is undoubtedly the core key to the continued advancement of society and the world. Such essence was greatly captured and translated into one of the world’s most flagship international information and communication technology (ICT) events – World Congress on Innovation & Technology (WCIT) 2022.
Dubbed as the “Olympics of the Global Information, Communications and Technology Industry”, the 26th installment of the premier conference held at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang saw the participation of 4000 delegates including homegrown industry players like Exabytes alongside other forefront visionaries from over 80 countries.
Slated to take place from Sept 13 – 15, the congress themed ‘Connecting and Transforming the World’ was nothing less than a star-studded affair with a lineup of 10 eminent speakers and more than 200 panelists of diverse backgrounds like government agencies and academies addressing relevant subjects and sharing their foresight about technology development.
Among the topics delivered on new innovative technology include NFTs, Smart City development, SpaceTech, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, 5G, EduTech, Blockchain, HealthTech and Sustainability. The platform also served as an ideal avenue for the participants to exchange notes and get connected.
Delivering the opening speech was Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who thanked the state government for hosting WCIT 2022. Meanwhile, the welcoming speech was addressed by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
The congress saw the hall filled to the brim with throngs of participants. There were also numerous booths showcasing the newest technology inventions.
At the event, a steady flow of delegates visited Exabytes’ booth to explore the extensive enterprise digital solutions and services offered. Hosting the delegates were the digital experts and sales team led by marketing assistant vice president Michelle Yap.
Also present at WCIT 2022 was Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak.
