At Exabytes, we believe in the power of digital education to transform lives and build a future-ready generation.
This belief is at the heart of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which aims to empower communities by providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
One of the flagship initiatives of this strategy is the Exabytes TechCamp, and this year, we were thrilled to host another successful edition: Exabytes TechCamp | Nurturing Young Minds with Web Mastery.
A Weekend of Learning and Fun
Held on the 17th and 18th of August 2024, the camp took place at the Exabytes Event Hall in Setiawalk Puchong, a space filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and the desire to learn.
This year, we were privileged to partner with GogoKids and Mighty Coders Academy, who not only sponsored training of the two workshops, but also brought their unique expertise to the table.
Over 100 young minds, aged 13 to 17, participated in this one-day camp that ran for two days to cater for more, diving into the world of web development through fun, interactive sessions.
Partners Making a Difference
Our esteemed partners, GogoKids and Mighty Coders Academy played an instrumental role in making this camp a resounding success.
The trainers from Mighty Coders Academy, Evangeline and Nicholas, who are young entrepreneurs and passionate coding enthusiasts, delivered sessions that were not only educational but also engaging and enjoyable.
The kids were introduced to the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and even got hands-on experience with WordPress.
By the end of the camp, they had the tools and skills to build their very own websites — a skill that will serve them well in the future.
Heartwarming Feedback from Participants
The positive feedback we received from both participants and their parents was incredibly rewarding and reaffirmed our commitment to initiatives like Exabytes TechCamp.
One mother shared her thoughts, saying, “My two kids enjoyed themselves at the workshop (I heard they were well fed!), just wanted to say thank you to Exabytes for such a well-organised workshop that brought value to their Sunday afternoon. I’m a happy mama. Thank you to the team, trainers, and bosses for this learning that’ll hopefully kickstart their journey in coding.”
The siblings, a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old, also expressed their excitement: “I never imagined I could create my own website from scratch! This camp has opened up a whole new world for me, and I can’t wait to keep building on what I’ve learned.”
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the success of Exabytes TechCamp 2024, we are more motivated than ever to continue our efforts in empowering the next generation with digital skills.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners, trainers, and participants for making this camp an unforgettable experience.
At Exabytes, we are not just about providing digital solutions—we’re shaping the digital future, one young mind at a time.
