.my Domain Registry (previously known as MYNIC), the registry and registrar of .my domains in charge of the registrations, billing, policies, etc celebrated its 25th anniversary on last Friday.

On the special night, .my Domain Registry made a few announcements in conjunction of the 25th anniversary celebration
1. The launch of new MYNIC mascot – “.my Neo”
2. The achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 ISMS certification on 20th April 2012 by SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.
3. Awards in 3 categories:
• The Earliest Domain Name Registered
• The Best Reseller Performance 2011
• The Best Growth Rate Performance 2011 vs 2010
The event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Minister. Also present at the beautiful dinner were Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Acting Senior Director, Digital Security Services Division representing the Chairman of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Moreover, MYNIC’s Board of Directors, management and staff, suppliers, resellers and guests were also at the scene to witness the momentous celebration.
“The top 5 Earliest Domain Name Registered” was honoured to the following companies:
