Is backup & restore wordpress important? Apparently many of us don’t see it as important until we need to run a restore.
When an attack/disaster takes place, it might be too late to find a solution to solve the problem. Is your website/blog using WordPress as your content management system (CMS)? If so, Softaculous backup can make sure you can run a restore when disasters happen.
Step 1:
Login to your cPanel – > look for Softaculous -> WordPress
Step 2:
Click the Backup and Restore Button on the upper right of the page.
Step 3:
If you have previously enabled WordPress Auto-Backup, you should see backup record showing as below.
Step 4:
If you wish to restore to the previous state, click in the “Restore” button.
If you wish to Manually Backup in Softaculous
please refer to the steps below.
Step1:
Back to your Softaculous -> WordPress
Step 2:
Click on the button as shown below.
Step 3:
Proceed with backup in the final step.
So there you go, the steps to perform backup and restore. Just like the old saying ‘better be safe than sorry, make sure you backup your website data all the time.
Shall anything bad happens, you can restore things to the previous state. Simple and easy, rite?
