A sports day like no other, bringing in an innovative team building idea that involved a Frisbee and Inti International Collage Penang, comes the long anticipated Exabytes Sports Day. On that fine morning, there were a total of 6 adrenalin-rushing teams; yellow, green, mix colour, orange, blue and red, awaiting the fun-filled Frisbee challenge. While each Exabee’s heart was pumping hard, the thrilling sensations were greeted with 2 station games.
The first game, the throwing game was allocated 25 minutes and it was a rotation game. The game commenced when a person standing at the first con position would have to throw the Frisbee to his/ her other 5 teammates on the other end by shouting their names. If his/her teammates caught the Frisbee disk successfully, then the team would be awarded with 5 points. However, if they failed to do so, less point will be awarded. Each team members were given 3 chances to ‘fly’ the disk to the designated team member. During the whole process, each team members were bound to the con.
The second game was the ‘Last Standing Game’ in which 15 minutes was allocated. Exabees were not allowed to have any body contact. If the Frisbee disk touched the ground, 1 point would be deducted; team members who managed to secure the disk in the ‘end-zone’ will be awarded with 5 points. To start, teams would first have to form a circle and for the entire 15 minutes, the Frisbee disk must be passed on from one member to another without dropping it on the floor.
The team that was able to last till the end would win. All Exabees fought long and hard for two matches that morning and were drenched in sweats, but with constant smiling faces.
Ultimately, when both games ended, the champion went to mixed color team, first runner up was the Red Team and Yellow Team secured its position as the second runner-up.
The beauty and ideology behind the Frisbee game had successfully been conveyed that day as each Exabee displayed excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play. The whole event was concluded with an Exabees group picture and continuous laughter and joy.
