It is certainly not an overstatement to say that the 26th World Congress on Innovation & Technology (WCIT 2022) was more than a success.
Apart from the nation’s foreign and domestic digital investment deals, the three-day eventful congress also had all the delegates beaming and empowered with knowledge on the edge of technology innovation.
Elevating the excitement throughout the event was a series of business forums, roundtable discussions and panels featuring prominent figures in the particular discipline, like NASA’s Daniel Lockney; Broadcom Inc’s chief executive officer Hock Tan; Prasarana Malaysia’s chairman Jamaluddin Ibrahim, Asia Zoom’s head Lucas Lu; OECD’s head of digital economy policy division Audrey Plonk, and the list goes on.
Topics covered include NFTs, Smart City development, SpaceTech, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, 5G, EduTech, Blockchain, HealthTech and E-Commerce.
Being the region’s leading digital solutions provider, Exabytes’ Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chan Kee Siak was invited to moderate the panel “Harnessing the New Engine of Growth: Opportunities in Digital Economy” involving HUAWEI Cloud’s Head of Ecosystem Development Low Wei Chung, Acronis’s APJ & MEA Sales & Global Channel Senior Vice President Pasha Ershow and Microsoft Malaysia’s National Transformation Lead Dr Andrew Lau.
On another hand, Digital Sales Vice President Cheong Peng participated in the panel “The Evolution and Future of E-Commerce” together with Fusionex’s director Freddy Loo and Pointstar’s founder and CEO Justin Lee. The panel’s moderator was none other than the inspirational figure IronHorse Asia’s founder Stan Singh.
