You can connect your Google Calendar to Lark Calendar so everything lives in one place.
Once synced, you can view and edit your Google Calendar events inside Lark, or create events using your Google account directly in Lark Calendar.
Any updates you make to Google events in Lark are synced back to Google Calendar automatically.
Note: This guide covers a one-way sync from Google Calendar to Lark Calendar. If you need a two-way sync (where Google Calendar and Lark Calendar are synchronised in both directions), contact your administrator.
Why Sync Google Calendar with Lark?
For anyone who already lives in Google Calendar, syncing it to Lark means less app-switching and fewer missed events. The benefits include:
- One unified view: See your Google events alongside your Lark events in a single calendar.
- Edit from one place: Update synced Google events in Lark, and the changes flow back to Google Calendar.
- Fewer clashes: Keep your whole schedule visible so you never double-book across two calendars.
Step 1: Add Your Google Calendar Account
- On the Lark desktop app, click Calendar > Add Calendar in the calendar sidebar, then click Add Third-party Calendars in the pop-up.
You can also find the same option on the Lark mobile app: tap Calendar from the bottom toolbar > the Calendar icon in the upper-right corner > Add Calendar > Add Third-party Calendars.
- Click Add to the right of Google Calendar.
- On the page opened in your browser, log in to the Google account you are syncing with Lark Calendar and allow Lark to access the Google account.
Tip: Make sure you are logged in to the correct Google account in your browser before authorising. If the browser remembers another account, you may end up syncing the wrong calendar.
Step 2: Use Google Calendar in Lark
Once synced, members can view their Google Calendar accounts in the calendar sidebar.
- The Google account is selected by default, which means you can view your synced Google Calendar events in Lark, and Google meeting links are also synced to Lark Calendar. To hide synced Google Calendar events from Lark Calendar, deselect the Google Calendar account.
- You can make changes to synced Google Calendar events in Lark, and the changes are synced back to Google Calendar.
- You can also create events in Lark Calendar using your Google account. The newly created event will be synced back to Google Calendar.
Step 3: Remove a Synced Account
If you want to remove Google Calendar and stop syncing, do the following:
On desktop:
- Hover over Google Calendar and click the Manage accounts icon.
- In the Calendar added section, click Remove to the right of the calendar you want to remove.
On mobile:
- Tap the Calendar icon in the upper-right corner on the calendar page.
- Scroll down and tap Manage accounts.
- Turn off the account or tap Remove.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will all events and updates in Lark sync to my Google Calendar?
No. Event information is synced back to Google Calendar only when you create an event in Lark Calendar and choose your Google account calendar, or when you modify a synced Google Calendar event. Other calendar events, such as those in a personal or public calendar under the same name, will not be synced to Google Calendar.
How do I sync Lark Calendar to Google Calendar?
Syncing Lark Calendar back to Google Calendar requires the calendar’s two-way synchronisation functionality, which must be enabled and configured by your administrator. If you need this, reach out to your administrator to set it up.
Why am I prompted that the account in the current browser is inconsistent with the Lark app account?
This usually happens when your web browser has retained the login status of another account. To fix it, clear the cache and cookies in your browser, then sign in again to the correct Lark account by scanning the QR code or entering the email or phone number.
Can I associate Google Calendar with multiple Lark accounts?
No. A Google account can only be synchronised to one Lark account, and a Lark account can only sync with one Google account.
After importing Google Calendar events, can others see the details of my calendar?
By default, the permissions of the imported Google Calendar follow the settings of your personal calendar, so visibility depends on how your personal calendar is configured.
In meetings created from events synced to Lark from Google Calendar, why are some members missing from the participants list?
Only members invited to the event through their Lark accounts are automatically synced to the meeting’s participants list. You can manually add any missing members to the event after syncing.
Keep Your Calendars in Sync
Syncing Google Calendar to Lark gives you one clear view of your entire schedule, with the convenience of editing and creating Google events without leaving Lark.
For anyone juggling two calendars, it is a simple setup that saves time and prevents missed or double-booked events.
