After our enthusiastic participation in Photon CGM Game Jam 2013, we have again extended our committed support to the local game development industry by sponsoring the very first Global Game Jam in Penang which happened from 24 January to 26 January.
The 3-day event took place in Piktochart office, in the same building as Exabytes headquarters.
17 energetic and passionate youngsters cum jammers joined to work around the clock to deliver a prototype under time constraint.
As the name implies, Global Game Jam is a game development marathon event in which all participants get together in separate teams and create their own games over the weekend, in over 450 locations worldwide using the same theme.
Interestingly, the theme of this game jam is “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are”. Sounds philosophical, doesn’t it?
We regret not being able to tell much of the story of the game jam this time as we did not witness the entire event like we did in Photon CGM Game Jam 2013.
