Next we were heading to one of the most special destinations of our Kerachut trip, the Meromictic Lake! You may ask what is really so special about a Meromictic lake? Well, the water in a Meromictic lake consists of sea water and fresh clear water, in 2 SEPARATE layers that do not mix!! Yeah the denser salty sea water will always remain at the lower layer while the less dense fresh water will always remain on top. Dipping your legs in a Meromictic lake, one will feel cool water sweeping swiftly through the top while warmer water drifting slowly at the bottom. What is even more special is that the Penang National Park’s Meromictic lake is a seasonal one that is only visible for six months of the year.
The latest brainchild of Exabytes – Easy.my, which lets the customers start their own Online Stores as EASY as frying an egg has recently given a jumpstart to many interested customers in KL by presenting to them the versatility, functionality and the easy integration of payment methods such as PayPal, etc into their web stores.
Initial booking of the training was made and seats were taken up in an instant. However, we could only accommodate 60 participants for two sessions (morning session: 9.30-12.30pm, Afternoon session: 1.30-3.30pm) of training at Wisma MCA in KL.
Arriving at 8.15am, Exabees swiftly set up Wi-Fi, prepared for the giveaway of Easy.my goodie bags and did some table arrangement.
Training started at 9.30am, and our speaker of the day Joel Tan was quick to clearly define Easy.my as A Hosted eCommerce platform that lets its customers instantly start their Online Shops and sell on Facebook and their websites right away.
He further explained that Easy.my is for anyone who wishes to sell online with EASE via Facebook and his or her own website instantly.
When asked whether one needs any technical knowledge to start using Easy.my, Joel clarified that not only one does not need technical background or knowledge to start their Online Stores with Easy.my, it is also not necessary for users to download any software or execute any program installation to start their own Online Stores.
After some interaction with our participants, we were delighted to find out that the audience was made of 70% of working adults, 30% of students who were inspired to start young and 2 editors from Malaysiakini.
After the functionality and benefits of Easy.my was clearly explained with adequate hands-on experience, many participants had got their web stores ready at the end of the training and some were prepared to start by signing up for Easy.my’s Bronze and Gold plan.
Before the training ended, it’s the Q&A session which gave participants the opportunity to clear whatever doubt they had on their mind.
CEO Chan and Joel were keen on sharing their entire knowledge about Easy.my and what it could achieve for our customers.
Training was slightly extended until all questions were answered by the helpful Chan and Joel.

In the beautiful evening of July 2, Saturday, six Exabees plus 200 over Exabytes clients packed GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang to witness the most exciting battle between humans and machines!
Yes, it was the 2011 Exabytes Movie Day and we were thrilled to watch the long awaited Transformers 3 – Dark of the Moon with our valued customers.
Reaching GSC Gurney Plaza at 12.30pm, Exabees prepared and made sure everything was ready before the open of our ticket collection booth at 1.00pm.
‘Excited’ was the word to describe how we felt, as we were about to meet many of our clients who we usually only interact via email and phone calls.
At around 2.30pm, movie crowd was sizing up and more Exabytes clients began to show up to collect their movie tickets.
Coupled with the coupons of the delightful must have FREE popcorn and drinks, Exabees gave away Easy.my goodie bags/recycled bags which gave great convenience to shoppers doing shopping on No-Plastic days.

The response was incredible and most free movie tickets were collected before 3.15pm.
Waiting anxiously for Transformers 3 to begin, some were already munching on their popcorn while chit-chatting and making some new friends at the waiting area.
Finally, theater number 2 was ready for seating!
Without further delay, we rushed in like a swarm of bees.
The 2 hours and 32 minutes show was really spectacular and it’s not hard to tell that a lot of us were stunned by the high tech computer graphics used in the movie.
We sincerely hope that there will be more and more good movies like Transformers in the near future so that Exabytes can offer our beloved customers another pleasant surprise in 2012.

CEO Chan was particularly impressed earlier this year after several stringent and extensive test lab sessions and follow-up analyses were carried out on Kaspersky products especially its cloud solution.
