Sorry for the long hiatus! The team was busy with arranging the event rundown. After a few discussions, we have finally confirmed the rundown for EEC 2017.

Here’s the event details:

Basically, we have 2 main parts for the rundown:

Individual Speaker Slot –

Our eCommerce speakers will share on how they started their ecommerce venture, their struggles and the method they used to sustain their ecommerce businesses. You can gain much by listening to their advice and experiences and apply them on your own personal business.

Panel discussion –

We will have 3 panel discussions covering these areas:

  • Payment gateway
  • Marketplace

How to Add FREE SSL to WordPress Websites?

SSL Certificates Help to protect Your Login Details, File Transfer, Secure Your Personal Info and Build a Trustable BRAND for Online Business. With an SSL Certificate, your website URL will start with “https://” instead of “http://”. In addition, your website visitors/potential customers will notice a green [Secure] word in the website address bar.

Steps to Claim a FREE SSL Certificate for your WordPress website:

Step 1: Login to your WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2: Access your “Setting” menu on your left.

Step 3: Replace your current URL http://your-website.com with https://your-website.com

Step 4: Proceed by clicking on the “Save Changes” button below. Now refresh your website. You’ve successfully switched to a “Secure” website.

NOTE: If the green [Secure] word still does not show in the browser address bar when you browse your website, proceed to step 5.

Step 5: Go to “Plugin – > Installed plugins”

Step 6: “Add New” Plugins. Search for “Really Simple SSL”.

Email Filtering Setup That Ends Your NIGHTMARE of Unwanted Emails!

When receiving emails, you may want to filter unwanted emails to different locations or forward them to another email account.

This can be done in User and Account Level Filtering.

*Account Level Filtering is the same as User Level Filtering, with the only difference that the filters created here are applied globally for the whole cPanel account.  

Steps on how you can move the email from a particular sender to Junk folder using cPanel Email Filtering

Step 1: Login to cPanel. Search for Email Categories

Step 2:  Click on [Manage Filters] next to the account you wish to add filters to.

Step 3: To add a filter, click on [Create a new Filter].

Step 4: In the Filter Name field, key in the name you want for the filter.

Step 5: For the Rules option, select From as Contains.

For the Actions option, select Deliver to folder and click on Browse and select Junk.

Step 6: Lastly, click on Create to save the rule.

Hint: To filter all mails that SpamAssassin has marked with a spam score of 5.0 or greater, choose ‘Spam Bar’, then ‘contains’, and enter “+++++” in the box

(Note: If you want to match a spam score of 4, you would use ++++`.

A spam score of 3 would be +++, etc).

KDU University College Penang Students

On 28 February 2017, we were given the privilege to host a tour for students from KDU University College Penang at Exabytes HQ Office.

In this tour, we shared the story behind Exabytes & EasyParcel – the time and effort our CEO used to build Exabytes and EasyParcel, as well as the challenges we faced.

After the simple sharing, we took the students for a visitation around each department of Exabytes and EasyPacel at Exabytes Penang Data Centre.

The visitation ended with a stop at the beautiful rooftop of Suntech building – allowing everyone to take memorable selfies and impressive sky view photos of Penang city!

We are hopeful that all of the students learned something new from us, and may the experiences they gained spark the beginning of their journeys toward entrepreneurship.
