PISF 2013 aka Penang International Science Fair 2013, an important educational event that allowed curious students and parents to discover and witness how various electronics and appliances manufactured by the electronics companies in Penang worked and the science and technology behind them had attracted over 30,000 visitors in just 2 days.
Organized by The Penang Science Council, Penang International Science Fair 2013 was filled with fun activities, games and shows for discovery of science showcased by various exhibitors including Exabytes.
The event kick started at 11.00 am on 13 April. Soon school students in their uniform arrived in batches; many had come on educational trips organized by the school. In less than 2 hours, the Straits Quay Convention Centre on level 6 was already packed by parents, students, teachers, exhibitors and even small kids.
Event Highlights:
• A total of 11 hands-on science activities were available
• Trained volunteers (typically engineers from industry) were available to coach the young participants
• Multi-million worth of equipment were on display
• Free face painting, magic shows and helium balloons
• Telescopes for star gazing and Astronomy Dome
To further boost up the excitement, Exabytes had prepared games and various prizes such as 2 sets of Lego Technic as well as RM150 + RM100 + RM 50 EasyVoucher Credits to be won by our booth visitors and customers.

As for Slotting in the Hard Disk game, participants were required to slot in a hard disk into the PC and lock it with the lock snap. The participant who completed the feat in the shortest time would win in this contest. The same applied to Plugging in the Network Cable game. Participants must plug in the given network cables according colors (orange, grey and yellow). The fastest person to finish the feat would become the winner.
Throughout the 2 days, our exciting games had attracted the attention of many parents and students who crowded Exabytes booth to try their luck. All 8 Exabees on standby were glad to have a great time with our participants indulging in these fun and self-discovery games. Before they left, each was given an Easy.my goodie bag.

Finally PISF 2013 came to a perfect close at 6.00 pm on 14 April, leaving us the good memories to cherish. Many thanks to The Penang Science Council for their hard work in organizing this meaningful and highly educational event.

1) Too much information or information that is irrelevant to the purpose of the landing page
Landing page that is cluttered with too much information and is irrelevant to the page will confuse and irritate the readers which will most likely to lose their patience and leave your site.
A landing page also should only contain clear, relevant and concise information that will assist your reader in finding out about your product, service or others.
2) Break a promise or mislead your readers
Always make sure that the content of your landing page provides exactly what you have promised the reader at the page.
Readers that come to your landing page are expecting to see something specific.
For instance the readers might have clicked on one of your advertisement which indicate that you have a promotion 70% off for shared hosting.
However, when they arrived on your landing page you are pitching something that is totally different.
3) Poor headline wording
The first thing the the reader reads is the headline.
Therefore, writing good headlines is crucial to your landing page’s effectiveness.
Thus, you should put some effort to learn how to do this.
4) Slow-loading landing page or website
Avoid stuffing too many streaming videos or other content that can slows down the page.
You can optimize your site’s load speed such as avoid putting too much components on your page or installing a caching plugin.
You can also pay for a better hosting provider or move from a shared hosting to dedicated server in order to improve your website’s speed.
