Pointing Your Domain Steps to Change Nameservers

So you purchased a domain name.

But how to point your domain name to your existing hosting which is provided by another hosting provider?

In this blog post, we will walk you through the process of changing your nameserver that enables you to point to your existing hosting and website builder

Step 1: Log in to your client area account. Just go to our website: www.exabytes.my, then click on the “Client Login” button on the top right corner.

Step 2: Click on the “Domains” tab at the top menu bar and look for “MY Domain” tab at the dropdown list.

Step 3: Click on the “wrench” icon (Setting Button) on the right side of the domain that you wish to edit

Step 4: Next, click the “Nameserver” Tab at the left sidebar

Step 5: Change the nameserver with your specific nameserver provided by your hosting company.

insert the nameserver 1 & 2Note that this is for the general procedure.

Different hosting providers might have different methods of pointing domains to their servers.

Facebook Begins Penalising Pages that Solicits Likes, Shares, Comments & Tags

According to Facebook’s latest announcement on Monday, they will penalise posts that ask and request people to like, share, comment, tag, and engage with the post in order to increase its engagement metrics and garner higher rankings in Facebook News Feeds. Facebook refers to these posts as “engagement baits”.

To make it easy for you to understand the “Engagement Bait” posts, take a look at some of the examples Facebook has listed out below:

Over the coming weeks, Facebook News Feed algorithm will begin to demote and penalise Pages that constantly practise “engagement baiting,” negatively affecting the reach of organic posts and ads.

Facebook also stated that they will continue to find ways to improve and scale their efforts to reduce engagement bait.

Will this affect my Facebook Page?

Businesses, media and publishers that practise engagement baiting tactics in their posts will see more significant drops in reach count.

Thus, Page Admins should focus on generating valuable, relevant, and meaningful content that do not practise engagement bait tricks.

Indeed, much emphasis is placed on various sectors, which include the development of DFTZ, entrepreneurship and SME development in the country.

Moreover, the government forecasts that SMEs in the country are expected to contribute 41% of GDP by 2020.

One Step Closer to Having The World’s First Digital Free Trade Zone & Digital Hub

Last year, announcement was made on the introduction of the world’s first digital free trade zone and digital hub, which aim to boost SME competitiveness in the global arena.

In Budget 2018 announced recently, we’ve seen an emphasis on the following, which will have both direct and indirect impacts on Malaysia’s Internet Business.

 

The Direct and Indirect Impacts on Internet Business

Digital Free Trade Zone

– RM83.5 million allocated for DFTZ in Aeropolis, KLIA.

Entrepreneurial Development (for Bumiputera)

– RM555 million for Bumiputera Entrepreneurship Enhancement Programme  (RM200 million for PUNB Entrepreneurship Programme and Business Premises; RM200 million for MARA Entrepreneurship; RM115 million for Vendor Capacity Programmes).

Entrepreneurial Development (for Indians and Chinese)

– RM50 million for Chinese SME loans through KOJADI.

*GST

  • No change to Goods and Services Tax but government to propose either exemption or zerorising certain items and services.
– local councils
– reading materials

– construction of schools and places of worship funded by approved donations

Penang International Science Fair 2017 had come to an end 

Let’s give a big round of applause to the awesome organizing team & Exabytes event crew for the nice weekend. Of course, let’s not forget the participants for their great fervor and support for our activities.


300 T-shirt Giveaway to Students
This year, Exabytes is giving away quirky T-shirts exclusively for kids! 300 T-shirts had been distributed to all the students. They just have to join our typing competition and entitled to get a FREE T-shirts from us.

The Typing Competition had attracted quite a number of students to line up and they were having great fun trying to break the high score.

Marvellous Lego Sets had been Won by the Highest Scorers of the Cloud Challenge!


Four marvellous Lego sets worth RM250 each had been given to the Cloud Challenge Winners with the highest scores.

Extra small Lego toys were distributed to winners who spent less than 2 minutes to install the server rack.
